The test papers were of the same difficulty level as in the exam & the explanations were precise. It helped me to cover important topics in a short span of time.
Preparation Strategy
What was your study Plan?
I first tried to complete all the mcq books .Later I studied solely for pgi from september end.I tried to read two editions of manoj chowdhary with explanations once and revise all the important topics for pgi about two to three times(with the help of adr plexus list of important topics for pgi.
How many hours did u study ?
It varied with average of around 8 hours.On somedays it was as low as 3-4 hours and on some other days around 10 hours.
Your tips for success ?
Hard work, perseverance and dedication.
During your preparation, did you ever doubt your ability to succeed in it?
Yes. Almost every day. I used to see the inspiring quotes from the toppers in adr plexus site. It helped me a lot.
How much time do you think one requires for serious preparation for this examination ?
In my case ,I took around 4 months to read subjectwise mcq books and devoted around 1 and half to two months for only pgi .This is of course after some bits and pieces reading during ug and internship days.
When did you seriously start preparing for this exam?
As I said I started to concentrate on pgi from September end.I solved adr plexus tests and previous years papers of pGI.
Did you face the problem of volatile memory? If so, how did you deal with it?

What was your daily timetable during the preparation? Were you able to stick to the timetable strictly?
No. I did not follow any fixed time table for a day.
What is your advice to the future aspirants?
Karmanyeva adhikarasthe maa phaleshu kadachana. If you do your duty sincerely god will be planning special things for you.
Which books did you read for the theory part?
I only read the adr plexus class notes. They were more than sufficient.
What was your strategy for the exam day?
I had seen all the toppers’ strategy for pgi at adr site.The summary I derived was to answer all choices about which I was 100% sure and taking chances in around 50-60 choices
What was ur style of answering question. Whether you started from question no 1 and ended with 250 or started from middle of the question paper.
In may,I did the mistake of doing frameshifts about two to three times for about five questions each time.I also missed ‘except’ for about 3-5 questions (that I remember as I discussed those qs with friends after the exam.)In November ,I was determined not to do such silly mistakes.So,I practiced a simple trick of covering the answered question`s choices by using question paper and answered from 1-250.
Did u underwent the phase of depression. How did u overcome it?
Many a times.My parents helped me overcome them.Finally, if everything went wrong also, I had mbbs degree.(like any other pg aspirant)to earn livelihood
Tips for your Juniors
What was your strategy for NOV PGI 2014 ?
Answering all choices that I was hundred percent sure and taking chance in 50-60 choices in which I was 80% sure.Not to do any frameshifts or missing excepts

This also I had read in adr site .Almost all the toppers gave the answer ranging from 550-600.I think I also marked around the same range .
