Preparation Strategy
What was your study Plan?
I had attended coaching in my 3rd and final year but i started studying seriously for entrance exams after NEET last year. It took me about 4 months to finish my first reading. During my second reading i went through recent question papers from various exams. In my subsequent readings, i started revising multiple subjects at a time.
How many hours did u study ?
About 10-11 hrs throughout the year.

How much time do you think one requires for serious preparation for this examination ?
For someone like me who has started a little late, I’d say 8-9 months.
When did you seriously start preparing for this exam?
Mid-January.
Did you face the problem of volatile memory? If so, how did you deal with it?
Yes. Multiple revisions and giving tests regularly helped a lot.
What was your daily timetable during the preparation? Were you able to stick to the timetable strictly?
Yes, i was able to stick to it most of the times.
What is your advice to the future aspirants?
I was an average student throughout MBBS. Just a few months of focused study got me here. So put in your best and let God take care of the rest
Which books did you read for the theory part?
I stuck to coaching notes and referred to standard textbooks as and when required.
What was your strategy for the exam day?
In all the PGI pattern mock tests that I had taken, i got about 450-460 options right. So i decided to play it around that number. I had marked about 475 options in the final exam.
What was ur style of answering question. Whether you started from question no 1 and ended with last question or started from middle of the question paper.
Yes, I went from Q1 to 250.
Did u underwent the phase of depression. How did u overcome it?
No.

What are the do’s and don’ts in exam
PGI is a paper and pen exam. Practice that way before giving the final exam. Be thorough with the basics. Read the questions carefully esp paying attention to ‘except’, ‘Not’ etc… Do not panic.
